Who can access the Seasonal NHS Flu Vaccination service?  
The list of individuals eligible for a free, NHS flu vaccination, starting from the 1st of September 2025, are:  
  • Pregnant women  
However, on the 1st of October 2025, the NHS Autumn/Winter 2025 flu vaccination service will be available for free to those who are:  
  • Aged 65 years and above  
  • Aged 18 years to under 65 years and are in clinical risk groups (in accordance with the Green Book, Influenza Chapter 19)  
  • Individuals in long-stay residential care homes
  • Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person.  
  • Individuals who are in close contact of immunocompromised people  
  • Frontline workers in a social care setting who are without an employer-led occupational health scheme. This includes people working in a registered residential care or nursing home, a registered domiciliary care provider, a voluntary managed hospice provider and who receive direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets like a Personal Assistant.  
If you have experienced a serious allergic reaction to the flu vaccination or any of its contained ingredients, you will be excused from accessing this service.
